Thankyou for coming to visit, what a pity we can't put the kettle on, but maybe one day....
In 1950, I bought 2 little POMERANIANS sight unseen, nor had I seen a POM, I just loved dogs and all animals so I thought this would be fun and you know its still just as fun all these years later. Just to have a pregnant bitch and the anticipation of what I may get and what the little Babes will be like.
It is all just Magic!!!
My first purchase was a dreadful 'take' and for that reason alone now I try not to have anyone let down and describe my dogs as honestly as I possibly can, if they have a fault, the buyer knows prior to purchase and then it is up to them. If a sale falls through, that's fine I know its not because you were dissapointed or tricked.
I am not in this for the mighty dollar I am in it for these beautiful animals, to see people so pleased with their beloved pets and have those amazing homes for my babies.
After my bad start I registered a Kennel Prefix in 1952 (I was only a toddler when I started!!) and the rest as they say, is history.
When buying POMS then it was all sight unseen, no photos and they would arrive on the train.
I was the Secretary of the Condobolin & District Kennel Club for around 20 years as well as the Founding member. After Resigning that position, I filled in as Treasurer, Publicity Officer, President and whatever they needed. I grew up around Condobolin and it was a sad to leave just over a year ago, however I had no family there, no vets for my dogs, Specialists were 200km each way and Doctors sometimes Non-Existant, if one of my girls needed a Caesar I had to phone a friend to do the 200km round trip with me through the middle of the night.
Quite some years ago, I was made a life member of Condobolin & District Kennel Club. One year I was asked to present the trophies to the POMERANINAN Winners at Parkes & District Kennel Bluc at their Specialty show, I thought it was an amazing experience and a lot of fun. I always used to Present the Specialty donated Trophy and Best Of Breed Sash (That I donate every year) to Best POMERANIAN at Condobolin & District Kennel Club.
Some years ago the local Condobolin Council and Members of the Condobolin & District Club saw fit to name a Street after me (photo above), in fact the drive into the Caravan Park where all our shows were held in the later years.
They usually wait until someone dies to do this, at least I am around to appreciate it :-) I told the Local Mayor that I was sad to leave my sign behind, so he very kindly said they would get a full size replica made and post to me in Tamworth at no cost, which he did :-).
I hope you enjoyed your visit Please call again soon.
Good Showing/Breeding/ And loving these little Angels
